Do you ever want to remove username and password after the user checked remember my password in your windows application?
Today I got question about that.
You run your windows desktop application. That program needs your credential, so you must specify username and password. Then, you specify username and password. But, you also check the “Remember my password” option. Your program has run successfully.
After you close your program, you run the program again. Now, automatically the username and password has already filled in.
After some times, you need to remove username and password when you run your program again.
After googling for a while, I found this article. But, I use a little bit different method like below.
- Go to Control Panel > User Accounts > User Accounts > Click “Manage your credential”
- In “Credential Manager”, expand “General Credentials”. My credential for my program is in there. Just click “Remove from vault” to remove the credential. After that, you will need to specify your username and password when you run your program.
Hope this information helps you to remove your credential after you check the “Remember my password” option.
God bless 🙂
